Four Business Actors in Thousand Islands Receive Assistance

Four resorts and restaurants owners in Thousand Islands received Tourism Grant Funds which aimed to help tourism business actors affected by COVID-19 pandemic.

Fund assistance is vary and it is expected to help their operational needs during COVID-19 pandemic

Thousand Islands Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Sub-agency Head, Puji Astuti explained, those who received the Tourism Grant Funds were Ayer Resort Island, Putri Resort Island, Tiger Island Eco (Macan Island), and Nusa Resto.

"Fund assistance is vary and it is expected to help their operational needs during COVID-19 pandemic," she said, Thursday (1/21).

She urged owners of resorts, restaurants, and homestays in Thousand Islands to immediately complete their business licenses and pay taxes regularly. Thus they can get similar assistance since it needs required documents.

"There is no further information for this year. But we will inform and socialize immediately if there is advanced program," she added.

Currently, he continued, there are 7 resorts and 441 homestays in Thousand Islands, but some of them haven't meet the requirements set out for Tourism Grant Funds.

"Previously, there were 27 homestays owners who apply for the assistance, and 7 of them passed the verification. However, those 7 homestays owners didn't participate in re-registering," she conveyed.
